Single-Hung Windows

Single-hung windows feature the bottom part of the window that operates while the top part does not.

Double-Hung Windows

Double-hung windows feature two sashes that slide vertically up and down in the frame. In addition, they can open wide from either the top or the bottom, remaininginside the frame so they don’t stick out of the exterior or interior of the house. 

Casement Windows

This type of window is hinged and operateby a turn cranking mechanism. They can be hinged on the left or the right and they open outward. 

Awning Windows

Picture Window

This type of window is a large stationary window that lets in the maximum amount of light and views of the outdoors. It does not open or close and is mainly for aesthetic appeal.

Transom Window

This narrow window can be installed to open or for just aesthetic appeal. They are usually mounted above a door or window to let in more light. 

Slider Windows

Sliding windows glide along a track and have at least one operating window that slides in a horizontal motion over or past the other window. 

Stationary Windows

Stationary windows do not open, but the great thing about them is they are completely customizable in any shape you want.

Bay or Bow Windows

These windows allow more space inside the home because they are built out from the house – they stick out.

Interior doors:

Hinged Single Door
This is the most common interior door type. Hinged doors swing open and are typically lightweight with two or three hinges.

Panel Door
This door has three or four horizontal rails and three vertical stiles. The spaces between them are filled with thinner panels. Decorative molding is on the sides of each panel. 

Flush Door 
This door is inexpensive and very simple. It is a flat slab.

French Doors 
These doors have glass panels and are usually put side by side so they open outward

Pocket Doors
These doors slide into the wall. They are great when you don’t have a lot of space.

Bifold Doors
Bi-fold doors are used mainly for closets and can be flush, paneled, or louvered.

Bypass Doors
These doors work like sliding patio and are flush doors.
